From 1 January 2023, what constitutes a ‘retail shop’ under the Retail Leases Act 1994 will be expanded to include small bars (defined as having a maximum patron capacity of 120 people) and gymnasiums as a result of the publication of the Retail Leases Regulation 2022 on 16 December 2022.
