Lauren has worked in the insurance industry for over 12 years and specialises in CTP, health (predominately medical negligence) and historical abuse insurance claims.
What she does
Lauren has experience advising and overseeing a portfolio of claims including catastrophic, dependency and mental harm and dealing with a number of broad and complex issues including indemnity, vicarious liability, fraud, extension of time, causation and liability (involving third party recoveries, motor vehicle minor impact and latent defect matters).
Who she works with
Lauren acts for insurers, doctors and allied health professionals, state and territory government bodies and compulsory third-party insurers.
Qualifications
Lauren holds a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice and a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology).
Life before Sparkes
Lauren was admitted to practice in 2012 and has worked at a number of insurance law firms. She previously worked in-house as a claims manager for a large insurer, managing catastrophic and major claims.
Life outside of Sparkes
Lauren enjoys all things food, and a drop of wine with her friends and family. Unfortunately, she also has a penchant for Haigh’s Chocolates which motivates her to fit in a run or Pilates in her spare time.
