About Jocelyn

Jocelyn is an experienced litigator and specialises in broad disputes and investigations. She works closely on complex commercial disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency matters, alternative dispute resolution and competition law litigation. Jocelyn also has corporate advisory experience and regularly appears in courts and tribunals on behalf of her clients.

Jocelyn is commercially astute and focused on providing frank advice, minimising risk and achieving cost effective outcomes for her clients.


Who she works with

Jocelyn regularly works on regulatory compliance issues and is instructed in relation to investigations and inquiries and complex litigation matters. She assists clients across a range of disputes on account of her broad experience across civil and criminal jurisdictions in various Australian states and territories.


Qualifications

Jocelyn has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of International Relations from the University of South Australia. She completed her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the Australian National University.


Life before Sparkes

Before joining Sparke Helmore at its Sydney office, Jocelyn practised at an Adelaide based law firm, offering broad disputes and investigations experience (civil and criminal jurisdictions) to her clients, representing them at all stages of litigation, including trials and appeals. She regularly appeared at courts and tribunals across South Australia, the Northern Territory and New South Wales.


Life outside of Sparkes

Jocelyn is originally from Adelaide and enjoys returning to South Australia and spending time on the Yorke Peninsula. She is also completing a Master of Business Administration at the University of Adelaide.
