About Dianna

Dianna has more than 10 years' experience advising on the increasingly complex development approval process in NSW. She assists local government clients to understand their statutory duties, powers and immunities. She also advises on related environmental legislation, particularly the Native Vegetation Act 2003, as well as criminal prosecutions and investigations.

What she does
Dianna advises local councils, property developers and consultants on the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979 and other legislation that affects them. She regularly conducts litigation in all classes of the Land & Environment Court's jurisdiction.

Dianna works with city and regional councils in NSW, state-owned corporations, planning consultants and property developers.

Qualifications
Dianna has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree.
Life before Sparkes
Before joining the firm more than 10 years ago, Dianna was a graduate lawyer at Minter Ellison Lawyers.
Life outside of Sparkes
Dianna enjoys playing netball and supporting the Sydney Swans, much to the despair of her many rugby league-supporting colleagues. She loves spending time with her family and going for walks with her much-loved dog, Sophie.
