Nick is a construction, projects and infrastructure lawyer, with a focus on dispute resolution, security of payment disputes and litigation.
What he does
Nick acts in superior and appellate court matters as well as adjudications, mediations, and alternative dispute resolution processes. He also provides strategic advice on claims and project disputes with a view to assist clients to resolve issues early to avoid unnecessary costs and disruptions of disputes.
Who he works with
Nick acts for and advises civil contractors, major building contractors and principals, including developers and State Government agencies.
Qualifications
Nick holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Newcastle.
Life before Sparkes
Before joining Sparke Helmore, Nick worked for national law firms acting for owners, contractors, principals and Government agencies in construction and major project matters.
Life outside of Sparkes
Outside of work, Nick likes to engage in his own projects. Whether it be home renovations, landscaping or automotive, he is often tinkering with something. This often crosses over with his obsession with motorcycles.
