Jocelyn is an experienced litigator and specialises in broad disputes and investigations. She works on complex commercial disputes, compulsory examinations, corporate crime, bankruptcy and insolvency matters and alternative dispute resolution. Jocelyn also has corporate advisory experience and regularly appears in courts and tribunals on behalf of her clients.

Jocelyn is commercially astute and focused on providing frank advice, minimising risk and achieving cost effective outcomes for her clients.
Who she works with
Jocelyn regularly advises and represents clients subject to inquests and investigations under oath. She works on regulatory compliance issues and is instructed in relation to complex litigation matters. She assists clients across a range of disputes on account of her broad experience across civil, commercial and criminal jurisdictions in various Australian states and territories.
Qualifications
Jocelyn has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of International Relations from the University of South Australia. She completed her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the Australian National University. In 2024, Jocelyn completed a Master of Business Administration at the University of Adelaide and received an industry sponsored award for her Enterprise Research Project on the role of artificial intelligence in the Australian legal industry.
Life before Sparkes
Before joining Sparke Helmore at its Sydney office, Jocelyn practised at an Adelaide based law firm, offering broad disputes and investigations experience to her clients, representing them at all stages of litigation, including trials and appeals. She regularly appeared at courts and tribunals across South Australia, the Northern Territory and New South Wales.
Life outside of Sparkes
Jocelyn is originally from Adelaide and enjoys returning to South Australia and spending time on the Yorke Peninsula.
