Jane has worked in the Upper Hunter since being admitted as a solicitor in 1992, and with over 30 years’ experience has the vast knowledge and skills to be able to assist a wide range of clients.

Jane has extensive experience in property law, rural conveyancing including water, estates, business law, and will and succession planning.
Who she works with
Jane provides legal services to families, businesses, and residents of the Upper Hunter and beyond.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Law Honours (University of Sydney) and a Bachelor of Economics (University of Sydney). Jane is also an active member of the Hunter Valley Law Society, a professional body that represents up to 100 solicitors and legal professional working in both the private and public sectors.
Life before Sparkes
Jane was most recently the principal of Scone Legal; Scone Legal became part of Sparke Helmore in April 2025.
Life outside of Sparkes
Jane has a passion for life-long learning and has been a student of history and the French language for a number of years. She has a strong association with the University of New England, and serves on the board of St Albert’s College, a residential collage at the University. Outside of these engagements, Jane enjoys the simple pleasures of gardening, cooking, reading and the gym.
