Greg is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury law and has more than 25 years' experience in advising insurers and employers and defending claims on state statutory classes of insurance matters.
Greg is recognised as a Leading Workers Compensation Lawyer (Defendant) in Doyle's Guide 2023, and for Insurance Law in Best Lawyers 2023.
What he does
Greg represents insurers and employers in all aspects of claims, from providing initial advice on liability, pursuing recovery of claims costs, to defending claims and common law actions in the Personal Injury Commission (PIC), District and Supreme Courts of NSW. He regularly appears as an advocate in the PIC of NSW and has appeared in a number of appeal matters before the PIC.

Qualifications
Greg has a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Law degrees and is also an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury law.
Life before Sparkes
Before joining Sparke Helmore in 1997 Greg was employed in a number of different industries, including the hospitality industry and primary production. During his university years he was also employed as a litigation clerk working on CTP and major claims work for large insurers.
Life outside of Sparkes
Greg's family keeps him busy. In winter, he enjoys watching club rugby with his kids, while in summer he takes on the local beaches. Greg also has an interest in beef cattle production in the Hunter Valley. He enjoys working cattle with his wife, children and Rugby the dog. He is happiest out in the bush and cooking on an open fire. When time permits, he enjoys a good walk with friends and golf clubs.
