Edward is a commercial and insurance litigation lawyer with a focus on property, professional indemnity and cyber risk. He provides compliance and regulatory advice to local and international insurers, and large corporates.
Edward defends medium-to-large scale litigated claims, conducts subrogated recovery actions for infrastructure and construction works, and advises on coverage issues. He also provides compliance and regulatory advice on privacy and cyber risk, and undertakes general liability defence work. Edward recently undertook a secondment with a global insurer and warranty provider headquartered in the United States.
Edward works with Australian and London-based underwriters, brokers, large corporates and government clients.
Edward has a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctor from the University of Technology Sydney.
Before joining Sparke Helmore in 2014, Edward spent one year at King & Wood Mallesons. He previously worked in the United Kingdom for a Practical Law Company in a non-practising capacity, gaining experience in information technology and intellectual property, with a focus on data protection, media and telecommunications. Earlier in his career, he also worked as an in-house legal officer for a leading music-licensing organisation that represents record labels and Australian artists.
Edward enjoys travelling and seeing as much of the world as he can, but his favourite place to visit is the NSW South Coast with family and friends. He loves to play and watch sport, and spend time outdoors.
