Caroline advises on complex construction, engineering and infrastructure projects. Her expertise covers the life cycle of projects, including the commercial strategic administration and project management of construction and infrastructure related projects, through to dispute resolution.
Caroline understands her clients’ assets, commercial objectives and organisation values, and provides legal strategic advice and solutions to resolve complex disputes.
In the course of dealing with disputes, Caroline draws on her executive experience to work with her clients to identify a solution that recognises and achieves the client’s key corporate, commercial and organisational objectives.
Caroline acts for principals, government, developers, contractors and consultants in major projects.
Caroline has a Bachelor of Laws degree from Otago University, New Zealand, and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor to the High Court of New Zealand in 2000, before moving to Sydney.
Before joining Sparke Helmore, Caroline worked as Executive and General Counsel as well as Senior Legal Counsel in national and internal construction, engineering and infrastructure companies. She has also worked in major law firms in Sydney, primarily focused on the construction, engineering and infrastructure industries.
Caroline enjoys cooking and baking for friends and family, as well as visiting vineyards around the world. She spends her spare time on weekends outdoors as much as possible—usually near the water and with her puppy.
