Alison is an experienced litigator, advising on and representing clients in CTP and liability claims in the District and Supreme Courts as well as the Court of Appeal of New South Wales and the Claims Assessment Resolution Service.
What she does
Alison appears as an advocate in interlocutory proceedings before the District and Supreme Courts. She assists clients with complex liability, procedural and quantum issues as well as judicial review applications, and frequently negotiates resolutions at settlement conferences and mediations.
Who she works with
Alison works for national insurers in New South Wales, Queensland and ACT. Alison also works with the Newcastle Legal Centre through the firm's Pro Bono Program, which she has done for the past three years.
Qualifications
Alison has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney. She obtained a Specialist Accreditation in Personal Injury in 2016.
Life before Sparkes
Alison previously worked at two national law firms in defendant litigation in general liability, commercial insurance, medical negligence and workers' compensation.
Life outside of Sparkes
Alison can usually be found chauffeuring her children to their various sporting commitments. In her spare time, she enjoys walking her two dogs at the beach as well as camping and travelling.
