Sparke Helmore welcomes Martin Kelly as a Special Counsel
28-January-2026We are pleased to welcome Martin Kelly to Sparke Helmore as a Special Counsel, effective 12 January 2026. Martin will be based in our Newcastle office and will also maintain a regular presence in Darwin, ensuring continuity of service for his longstanding Northern Territory clients.
With over 18 years’ experience as a commercial lawyer, he specialises in contract law, dispute resolution, commercial property and business law. Martin serves as a Director on the Board of the Sport Access Foundation and is also a Trustee of the Fidelity Fund NT. Martin will work in our Corporate & Commercial team.
Julien Castaldi, National Practice Group Leader for Corporate & Commercial, said, ‘Martin joins us from the Northern Territory’s largest legal practice. His extensive local knowledge and expertise will be valuable in strengthening our Darwin presence alongside our Darwin Local Managing Partner, George Roussos. Martin will also build on our current offering by taking a hands-on role with our clients in Newcastle and regional NSW. We are excited to welcome Martin to the team.’
