Theo was admitted as a lawyer in New South Wales in 1981 and joined Sparke Helmore as a Partner in 2004 in the Property, Development & Infrastructure group. Prior to working at Sparke Helmore, Theo was a Partner at Acuiti Legal for 15 years.

Theo has been involved in all aspects of property related transactions and his experience includes:

• the acquisition and disposal of urban land, commercial office buildings, industrial sites, retail shopping centres and rural land, including contaminated sites
• negotiating and drafting joint venture, project management, construction development and boundary adjustment agreements
• advising on structured purchases, trusts and appropriate vehicles for acquisition
• advising on subdivisions and strata conversions including the drafting of Section 88B instruments creating easements, rights of way and other proprietary rights and strata by-laws
• advising on local government and planning issues
• environmental law
• commercial, retail and rural leasing
• retail Tenancy Tribunal disputes
• financing.
