Experience
- Acting for Medallist (a related entity to the Macquarie Bank) in the acquisition/legal masterplanning and development of the Vintage/Greg Norman Golf Course and 480 lot community title subdivision located in the Hunter Valley, including preparation of golf course management agreement and memberships, community titling, project financing, hotel management agreements, joint ventures and disposals.
- Advised NIB Hospital on the disposal/operation agreement and finance on the sale of the Hospital.
- Advised BMD/Urbex in its involvement in the proposed $175 million Babcock & Brown Residential Land Partners IPO. BMD/Urbex contributed 25% of the Ascot Chase, Victoria development (being the largest development by value in the portfolio) and 30% of the Kalynda, Townsville development (being the largest development in terms of number of home sites) into the portfolio.
- Advising Newcastle Council on the development and redevelopment of major public infrastructure as PPPs. This included drafting requests for expressions of interest, requests for tenders and advising on the selection process, including probity issues. We were also responsible for advising Council concerning its application for approval of PPPs by the NSW State Government in accordance with its PPP Guidelines.
- Drafting and negotiating leases for Government clients including Centrelink, State Rail Authority, Sydney Water and the Department of Public Works and Services, Port Kembla Port Corporation and Waterways NSW.
- Acting for large corporations including OneSteel Limited, Caltex and AV Jennings on property acquisitions, sales and in the leasing of industrial and commercial premises nationally.
