Sharon is an insurance law specialist. She advises and represents specialised and self-insurers, as well as their clients, on workers compensation matters.
Sharon advises clients on the assessment of liability, quantum and recovery on individual matters. She develops claim management strategies for litigated and non-litigated matters and advises on policy issues.
Sharon has litigation experience in the District and Supreme Courts.
Sharon works with claim managers and stakeholders.
Sharon holds a Bachelor of Law (Hons) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wollongong. She also holds a Diploma in Education and has lectured on criminal law at the Law Faculty of the University of Wollongong.
Before joining Sparke Helmore, Sharon began her career as a graduate lawyer with a boutique plaintiff firm. She joined Sparke Helmore in 2002 and was promoted to Senior Associate in 2008.
Sharon loves spending time with her family and seeing the world through the eyes of her two young children. She enjoys travelling to overseas destinations, particularly to places where the weather is warm. She likes to stay fit and active by running and exploring local walking tracks.
