Rory is a commercial lawyer specialising in government procurement and major infrastructure projects. He has particular expertise advising on complex contracting matters, including preparing tender materials, negotiation, contract administration and dispute resolution.
Rory advises clients on all aspects of complex and major infrastructure projects. This includes project delivery models, procurement and tendering, contract drafting and interpretation, commercial negotiations and settlement arrangements. He also has substantial experience in project management and contract administration.
Rory works with government departments, major building and engineering contractors, mining companies, developers, financial lenders and statutory utilities.
Rory holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business (Finance) from the University of Technology, Sydney.
Before joining Sparke Helmore, Rory was a lawyer at a small commercial firm in Sydney, working primarily in the areas of construction and employment disputes.
Rory loves the ocean and can often be found spear fishing, surfing and walking his dog (Maggie) around Newcastle's amazing coastline. He also enjoys travelling in search of new experiences, within Australia and overseas.
