Rachel is an experienced major projects lawyer specialising in the documentation and negotiation of contracts and other documents for the procurement of projects in the construction and resources industries.
Rachel is commercially driven and committed to achieving the best results for her clients. She advises project proponents (owners, contractors, consultants) on all aspects of the procurement process, including preferred methods of procurement, risk management and probity in the tendering process, for a wide variety of procurement arrangements. These include design and construct contracts, managing contractor contracts, operation and maintenance agreements, supply agreements and consultancy agreements.
Rachel works with public and private sector clients, including mining companies, government agencies and major building and engineering contractors.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree from Queensland University of Technology.
Rachel began her legal career at Clayton Utz, where she worked for more than 20 years in the construction and major projects team.
Rachel is a passionate supporter of the Brisbane Broncos, cheering on her beloved team at as many home games as possible. For relaxation and fitness, Rachel is a devotee of yoga and pilates.
