Oliver is a litigator, advocate and government law specialist. He has extensive experience advising Commonwealth and State government entities in administrative and government law matters, and acting in litigation and dispute resolution proceedings.
Oliver advises on and acts in merits review and judicial review, statutory interpretation, regulatory and other administrative law matters, on behalf of government clients. He regularly appears as an advocate in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, Federal Circuit Court and Federal Court of Australia.
Oliver works with Commonwealth and State government entities.
Oliver holds a Bachelor of Asian Studies and Bachelor of Law degree with distinction from the Australian National University.
Before joining Sparke Helmore, Oliver gained experience working in Litigation and Dispute Resolution teams in private practice, with a specialisation in government and administrative law. His valuable industry and sector knowledge and understanding comes from working in various legal divisions of Commonwealth and State government entities.
Outside of work, Oliver enjoys spending time with his family as well as visiting Melbourne's many galleries and gardens. He also enjoys leaving the city to explore the countryside or to travel abroad.
