Laura is an experienced insurance litigator, appearing regularly at WorkCover and the District Court of Western Australia. She specialises in assisting insurers with a range of personal injury matters, including medical treatment liability, workers’ compensation and public liability claims.
Laura provides strategic advice to her clients on liability, quantum, recovery and settlement prospects. She appears on behalf of employers and insurers at WorkCover and District Court and assists in the settlement of matters at all stages of proceedings. Laura is known for providing practical and timely advice to assist her clients in managing their claims.
Laura works with Australian insurers, brokers and self-insured organisations.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Laws (with Distinction) and Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Psychology) from Murdoch University. She also holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law.
Prior to joining Sparke Helmore, she began her career as a law graduate with a boutique insurance law firm, Jarman McKenna. She joined Sparke Helmore when Jarman McKenna merged with the firm in March 2017.
Laura has been a member of her local calisthenics club for over 20 years and is still actively involved as a coach. She also enjoys playing volleyball (terribly) and devouring as many books as she can.
