Jeanine is an experienced litigator with an expertise in insurance claims involving public liability, historical abuse and compulsory third party insurance across ACT and NSW.
Jeanine provides advice on the defence of claims, options for dispute resolution and strategies for litigation across both litigated and non-litigated claims. She advises on indemnity, liability and procedural issues, and provides assessments of quantum, contribution and costs.
She frequently appears before the NSW Personal Injury Commission, ACT Magistrates Court and ACT Supreme Court.
Jeanine has previously been a secondee at the ACT Law Society’s Pro Bono Clearing House, where she provided pro bono assistance to members of the community.
Jeanine works with national commercial and government insurers.
Jeanine has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the Australian National University in Canberra. She also holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
Jeanine was born and raised in Melbourne, before moving to Canberra for her university studies. She joined Sparkes in her final year of university, working in our commercial insurance, statutory insurance and government teams.
In her down time, Jeanine enjoys going for a run, playing social mixed netball and adding to her ever-expanding shoe collection. She has a weakness for anything sweet and chocolatey and is passionate about her AFL team, the Richmond Tigers.
