Eve is an insurance law specialist, predominantly advising and representing insurers and their clients in a wide range of personal injury matters, including public liability, motor vehicle injury, workers' compensation and dust diseases claims.
Eve provides timely, commercial advice to clients on the assessment of liability, quantum and recovery. She regularly manages catastrophic injury claims, including acquired brain injury and infant claims.
Eve regularly appears on behalf of clients in the Western Australian District and Supreme Courts. She has experience in expedited litigation in the Supreme Court Commercial and Managed Cases List and at WorkCover.
Eve works with the Insurance Commission of Western Australia as well as a number of national insurance firms and self-insured clients. She has acted for one of Australia's largest asbestos manufacturers on dust diseases claims.
Eve has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago in New Zealand.
After moving to Perth in 2006, Eve began her legal career as a solicitor with boutique insurance law firm Jarman McKenna and was promoted to senior associate in 2013. She joined Sparke Helmore when Jarman McKenna merged with the firm in March 2017.
When Eve isn't practising dispute resolution techniques on her three-year-old son, she can be found enjoying a good book or pottering in the garden. She is a keen (but not always objective) rugby supporter, and loves traveling overseas with her family to go trekking or just strolling along the Swan River at home.
