Daniel specialises in state-based worker’s compensation litigation, advising registered agents and self-insured clients. He regularly appears before the South Australian Employment Tribunal.
Daniel prides himself on his personable nature and his ability to provide pragmatic settlement solutions. He is able to articulate the strengths and weaknesses of the claim in a professional manner to avoid unnecessary legal costs.
Daniel is involved in litigated disputes from beginning to end, providing comprehensive written advice on liability, quantum and strategy. For self-insured clients, he holds face-to-face reviews with case managers following new claims, to help improve their development and technical knowledge.
Daniel advises self-insurers and WorkCover Agents. He also has experience working with clients in the Northern Territory jurisdiction.
Daniel has a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice from Flinders University. He is admitted in South Australia and is a Member of the Law Society and the Australian Insurance Law Association.
Before joining Sparke Helmore, Daniel practiced for plaintiffs in the personal injury space, specialising in motor vehicle accident and public liability claims.
Daniel is an avid sportsman and long distance runner. He enjoys spending time with his niece and nephews as well as following the Carlton Football Club.
