Carl's experience, both in-house and in private practice, gives him a clear, client-centred focus. His broad CTP knowledge spans government and privately-funded schemes.
Carl principally practises in CTP claims, focusing on assessment of damages, negotiation and ADR, advocacy, claims training and development, and litigation. He has practical experience in the management and defence of fraudulent and exaggerated claims, as well as training CTP claims staff in the management of their claims.
Carl works with NSW-based and interstate insurers advising on claims, litigation and the impact of, and response to, legislative change.
Carl has a Bachelor of Arts, a Diploma of Law and a Diploma of Education. He was admitted to practice as a solicitor in 1993.
Carl was previously a CTP Partner at Lee & Lyons, advising interstate clients on NSW medical assessment guidelines and medico-legal/medical issues, and national insurers on group protocols and processes. He was also CTP Manager at a leading Australian insurer, managing CTP product and claims requirements and establishing CTP medical and legal panels.
Carl enjoys spending time with his family and listening to very loud music.
