Anika is a skilled solicitor-advocate, specialising in administrative law. Anika has extensive experience in advocacy across a range of jurisdictions.
What she does
Anika works closely with Commonwealth government entities and agencies to provide advice on statutory interpretation, merits review and judicial review proceedings. An experienced litigator and advocate, she provides strategic, practical and client-focused advice, employing a range of dispute resolution processes in order to effectively resolve matters. She appears and advises in relation to merits review and judicial review proceedings in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and Federal Court.

Qualifications
Anika has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Adelaide and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Australian National University.
Life before Sparkes
Prior to joining Sparke Helmore, Anika spent nine years working as a prosecutor with the South Australian Police and several years in commercial litigation.
Life outside of Sparkes
Anika loves spending time with her young family, especially at her family’s property on the Fleurieu Peninsula, where she grew up. She also enjoys all things food and wine, travelling and keeping active.
