Sparke Helmore Lawyers congratulates Carlie Holt, Shannon Platt and Kerri Thomas for being finalists in the inaugural Lawyers Weekly Partner of the Year Awards.

Carlie is a finalist in the Workplace Relations category. She is a member of the firm's Board and has been involved in many high profile coronial inquests and WorkCover prosecutions. Carlie advises clients in the construction, manufacturing, health care, aged care and fast-moving consumer goods sectors, as well as local authorities and state government.

Shannon, National Head of Intellectual Property & Technology and Head of the Corporate Group, is a finalist in the Intellectual Property category. Shannon is on the firm's Executive Committee and is a member of two International Trade Mark Association Committees (Anticounterfeiting and ASIA Roundtable). Shannon is ranked in the 2016 World Trademark Review and quoted as "shows some flashes of brilliance...Has a knack for securing favourable outcomes in IP disputes".

Kerri is a finalist in the Insurance category. She advises Australian and international insurers, brokers and intermediaries on professional indemnity, aviation and general liability classes of insurance. Kerri is regularly singled out in local and international guides as being one of the country's leading insurance lawyers.

The Awards celebrate partners who demonstrate leadership, technical expertise, mentorship and business development skills, and acknowledge that partners determine the financial success and integrity of law firms. The Awards night will be held on 28 April 2016 in Sydney.
