Quality and consistency through collaboration

Congratulations to Sparke Helmore's Insurance Group, which has been highly recommended in the 2018 Asialaw Profiles. The firm's private equity practice was also acknowledged by the Guide, which ranks leading domestic and regional law firms in the Asia-Pacific Region.

Five Sparke Helmore partners were named Leading Lawyers by Asialaw. National Statutory Lines Group Leader James Johnson and Commercial Insurance Partner John Coorey were listed from the Insurance Group. In the Banking & Finance category, Ben Burney and Adam Fuller from the Corporate & Commercial Group were named Leading Lawyers, and Vi-Ky Lam was recognised as a Rising Star in the Corporate/M&A field. Consultant Lindsay Joyce, who joined the firm last year, also received a special mention.

"Well done to all those individually named and especially to our Insurance Group on their listing. The recognition the team has received is very much a reflection of their superior legal expertise, outstanding service delivery and strong ongoing relationships with their insurer, insured and underwriter clients across Australia," said Sparke Helmore's Chairman and Partner, Mark Hickey.

The Guide, now in its 22nd year, is populated annually based on recommendations from legal practitioners and clients, submissions by law firms as well as research undertaken by journalists on firms' awards, directory rankings and media coverage received throughout the year.
