Sparke Helmore Lawyers' Chief Information Officer and Knowledge Director, Peter Campbell, took part in Lawyers Weekly's IT Roundtable in Sydney on Wednesday 10 February.

During the Roundtable, IT heads and tech experts from law firms across Australia discussed challenges faced when employing technology in legal practice, such as cyber security and privacy issues, as well as approaches to innovation and knowledge management.

"The Roundtable was a fantastic opportunity for firms to cover trends emerging in the industry and collaborate on how we can make further developments on the IT front, for the benefit of our clients, our firms and the legal profession as a whole," says Peter.

"With Sparke Helmore always looking for new ways to improve our knowledge management and leverage technology in practice that will translate into better client service, getting to hear from other leaders in the field was invaluable."

Other firms that participated in the Roundtable were Minter Ellison, Piper Alderman, Clayton Utz and Baybridge Lawyers, with IT consulting firm Excite IT also on the panel.
