For the second consecutive year, Sparke Helmore Lawyers is supporting KidsXpress by taking part in its annual touch football charity event, Touch of Colour.

Twenty teams will take the field at Sydney University on Thursday 30 November 2017 to raise funds for KidsXpress, a world-first therapy program for children aged between four and 14 impacted by trauma or challenge. It supports children in need to find safe and healthy ways to cope with life through the therapeutic use of music, art, play and drama.

As the sole law firm sponsor, Sparke Helmore will face-off against 19 teams from leading insurance companies and brokers such as Lloyds, Vero, Steadfast and GSA in a round-robin tournament. None of the teams will go it alone, with each team to be led by an ex-NRL player in their quest to beat last year's fundraising effort. Sparke Helmore is lucky enough to have Paul Whatuira captain their team again in 2017.

"We narrowly missed the top title to Lloyd's in 2016. This year, we're training harder to bring home the trophy and raise much-needed funds for this fantastic cause," said National Commercial Insurance Group Leader Chris Wood

Touch of Colour is widely supported by the insurance industry and last year raised $250,000 to help children access the KidsXpress therapy program. To help them reach their fundraising target, donations can be made here.
