Commercial Insurance | Podcast 2 | Class Actions in the wake of COVID-1921 May 2020
Our Commercial Insurance team is back with episode two in their podcast series.
As the impacts on consumers and financial markets become clearer, it is expected that consumers and businesses will be looking for avenues to recoup losses and with that will come law firms and litigation funders looking for opportunities to act – just as occurred following the Global Financial Crisis.
Join Lucille Stewart and Lani Carter from Sparke Helmore's Next Generation team as they explore the topic of Class Actions in the wake of COVID-19.

Note: Since we released this podcast, the Federal Government has moved to slow the “booming” class action business including bringing litigation funders under the Corporations Act, which will require them to obtain an Australian Financial Services Licence. It is intended that amendments to the regulations will take effect toward the end of August. Watch this space as we bring you more information on this evolving issue.
