Tony Deegan

With 25 years' experience in commercial practice, Tony specialises in information communications technology and leads the Firm's Technology Law Practice Group.

Tony acts for ICT clients and clients commercialising intellectual property. He represents developers, vendors and integrators (hardware or software) and telecommunications providers.

He has wide experience drafting and negotiating specialised agreements for large scale IT systems and high-level software products. Tony's IT clients also include both government and non-government purchasers of ICT systems. He is familiar with all versions of the GITC.

Tony advises telecommunications service providers, television broadcasters and ISPs on telecommunications and broadcasting legislation and works with clients to develop legal risk management audits and policies to assess and manage their ICT Projects and on-line legal risk.

Tony has been involved in a number of telco joint ventures and the expansion of networks in regional Australia.
