Rhett Slocombe

Rhett leads our national insurance and risk group and is responsible for managing several of the firm's key insurance client relationships. He has concentrated on advising and representing insurers in the statutory classes of business for more than 20 years. His experience covers all facets of insurance, industrial and safety law and he has assisted in many coronial inquests and inquiries.
Rhett is skilled at developing tools and processes that assist insurers and employers to rationalise and manage workforce-related liabilities and is regularly engaged by clients and related industry participants to lead training and speak at industry conferences.
During his career with Sparke Helmore, Rhett worked for long periods of time in Western Australia, the Hunter region of New South Wales and in the US and the UK where he defended class actions.
