Jacinta Long
Partner
Jacinta is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution team in Sparke Helmore's Brisbane Office. Prior to joining the firm she had been a Partner at DLA Phillips Fox for six years.
A recognised specialist in insurance and commercial litigation, Jacinta has practiced exclusively in those fields for 13 years. She represents national and international insurers and London and European underwriters. She also acts for international corporations associated with the mining industry and the construction industry.
Her practice focuses upon all classes of liability including complex product, public and property matters, and professional indemnity matters. She holds considerable expertise in representing corporations at coronial inquests and Workplace Health & Safety and mining investigations.
Jacinta has been actively involved in the insurance industry in Queensland for a number of years. She was the President of Women in Insurance (Qld) for six years and is a current member of AILA and RMIA.
Jacinta tutored for a number of years in the area of Commercial Law upon invitation from the Law faculties of both the University of Queensland (UQ) and Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
