David is a Partner in our Workplace Relations and Safety team and has more than 18 years experience in industrial and employment matters.

Clients have praised David for his timely delivery of high quality work and the consistency of his advice on exposure to risk and liability.

His list of successful cases in a variety of contexts affirms David's extensive knowledge of Employment and Occupational Health and Safety law.

David has a sound understanding of complementary areas of law, such as workers compensation, insurance and commercial law. He regularly collaborates with other practice groups, where clients' instructions require inter-disciplinary legal advice.

He was previously responsible for advocacy on behalf of the Darling Harbour Authority in the Darling Harbour Redevelopment Project. An expert advocate, David regularly appears as counsel before the Australian and NSW Industrial Relations Commissions

David Davies has won an award from the then Minister for Industrial Relations NSW for his work in connection with a certified agreement. The agreement negotiated by David was ultimately ratified by the Commission and contained major workplace changes such as the elimination of a rostered day off, flexible work hours and a removal of demarcation barriers. The agreement was seen as leading edge for the industry and won the Minister's award.

David also presents at industry seminars and provides training to private and public sector clients and has previously lectured in employment relations at UTS and UWS.
