Sparke Helmore Welcomes New National Managing Partner

30 July 2009

Sparke Helmore this week welcomed the appointment of Jesse Webb as the Firm's new National Managing Partner.

Mr Webb, 40, has been with Sparke Helmore for more than 20 years and a partner for 10 years. Immediately prior to his appointment, Mr Webb was the National Practice Group Leader of the Firm’s Personal Injury Group.

"I am honoured to be selected to lead Sparke Helmore at this exciting time in the firm's 127-year history," Mr Webb said.

Mr Webb replaces John Davis who has led Sparke Helmore for the last five years.

"As National Managing Partner, John has overseen significant growth in earnings and profitability," said Mr Webb. "He's also built a diverse business and a strong culture that embraces change – both of which will sustain the firm's expansion into the future."

Mr Webb's appointment coincides with the appointment of a new Chairman with partner Phillip Salem succeeding Geoff Pike after three years as Chairman.

Both John Davis and Geoff Pike are returning to practice at Sparke Helmore.

Mr Webb assumes the role of National Managing Partner immediately.
