The selection process
- An online application through www.cvmail.com.au where you will need to complete an application form and attach your CV and academic transcript
- An initial screening, based on:
- The quality of your written application
- Work experience
- Activities undertaken to develop "lawyering skills" such as mooting or debating
- Demonstration of leadership skills through work, academic or extra-curricular pursuits
- The reasons you are interested in Sparke Helmore
- Your academic results
- First interview, where you will meet with two representatives from our HR Team. The interview will be focussed on exploring the content of your resume and written application. The interview is designed to assess:
- The alignment of your areas of interest with Sparke Helmore's practice areas
- Your time and project management skills
- Your verbal communication and rapport building skills
- The alignment between your preferred working style and Sparke Helmore culture
- Second Interview, where you will usually meet with a Partner and a member of the HR team and we try to give you the opportunity to meet someone that practices in an area that is of interest to you. This interview will build on the first interview and test legal thinking and problem solving skills.
- Reference checking, where we talk to at least two referees who have known you in a work context.
- Offers are made
