Shelley is a major projects and procurement specialist experienced in advising on commercial contracting and procurement for both government and the private sector. She also has experience in advising Australian and international banking and financial institutions and borrowers on large property and corporate finance transactions.
Shelley advises Commonwealth and state departments and agencies, as well as the private sector, on all aspects of major projects and procurements, including procurement strategies, the drafting of detailed request for tender and contractual documentation, intellectual property rights, legal risk management, performance management, probity, contract negotiations and contract management.
Shelley works with Commonwealth and state government departments and agencies as well as the private sector. She also advises Australian and international banking and financial institutions and borrowers.
Shelley has a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws degree.
Shelley worked for many years at one of the largest top-tier firms in Australia before coming to Sparkes in 2014. Shelley also has significant policy and parliamentary experience, having previously worked as a policy advisor for several high profile Victorian Members of Parliament.
When not working, Shelley enjoys reading crime and historical fiction, following Australian politics and redesigning the new garden with her husband and black cats, Algy and Ginger.
