Philip is experienced in insurance law, specialising in CTP. He represents clients in matters involving liability, indemnity, contributory negligence and complex medical issues in the Claims Assessment and Resolution Service, Medical Assessment Service as well as in the District Court, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.
Philip provides thorough, reasoned and commercially practical advice to clients on a range of CTP matters, including indemnity disputes, liability, false and misleading statements, contributory negligence, complex medical issues and administrative appeals. He works closely with clients to achieve the best result, whether by settlement or proceeding to assessment or hearing.
Philip advises and represents a number of leading insurers in the CTP industry.
Philip holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws (majoring in Finance) from the University of Wollongong. He was also a finalist for the University's Macquarie Prize.
Philip previously worked at boutique insurance firm, Vardanega Roberts Solicitors, where he gained experience in CTP and public liability. He joined Sparke Helmore in August 2015 and was promoted to Senior Associate in January 2017.
Philip enjoys supporting and playing a variety of sports. He plays soccer (albeit poorly) in his local area and recently achieved his lifelong dream of seeing the Cronulla Sharks win the NRL premiership in 2016.
