Nicholas has specialised in insurance and general litigation for more than 15 years. He has practised extensively in workers' compensation, public liability, general insurance, CTP claims and has developed particular expertise in representing clients in complex and catastrophic claims and in unfair dismissal and general protection claims.
Nick advises and represents both workers and insurers/employers in various types of workers' compensation claims, public liability claims, CTP and general insurance claims. He is often called on to provide strategic claims advice on a range of matters from simple statutory disputes to complex common law claims.
Nick works with Australian and international insurers, self-insurers and employers.
Nick has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from Murdoch University and was admitted to practice in 2000.
Nick began his legal career in 1998 at Mark & Sands Lawyers in Perth where he continued to work after his admission in 2000. Following time in a general practice firm, then a boutique insurance law firm as a senior associate for eight years, he joined Sparke Helmore in late 2015.
Nick enjoys spending time with his young family and extended family. He also likes a game of squash and a work out at the gym and catching up with friends, when time permits.
