Nam advises a diverse range of clients under the Commonwealth compensation scheme, social security and administrative law. He is an experienced litigator and regularly appears as an advocate at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and Federal Court.
Nam enjoys working closely with his clients at the pre-litigation and litigation stages to provide a comprehensive and strategic approach to managing complex cases to resolution. He advises clients on liability, quantum, settlement prospects and post-litigation claims management.
Nam advises and represents Commonwealth Government departments and agencies, insurers and self-insured licensees.
Nam has Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Information Systems degree from La Trobe University. He also has a Diploma of Legal Practice.
Nam was a plaintiff lawyer for two years, before spending three years in-house at a major Australian telecommunication entity. He joined Sparke Helmore in 2014.
Nam enjoys musical theatre, travel (when he has the time) and gardening (which seems to be never-ending!). He is a closet AFL Richmond supporter and is hopeful that someday, in his lifetime, he will have the opportunity to proudly celebrate a successful season.
