Darren specialises in advising on, documenting and negotiating construction and infrastructure projects in the commercial, university, mining, maritime, water industry, retail and retirement living/aged care sectors.
What he does
Darren regularly advises on and prepares construction and infrastructure contracts and procurement arrangements. These include operation and maintenance agreements, facility management agreements, service supply arrangements, consultant agreements, development agreements and licences, and other access agreements. Darren advises on contract administration, legislative interpretation and changes in legislation throughout Australia. He also prepares, implements and provides education and training on the use of precedent documentation.

Darren works with public sector clients and a range of private sector developers, contractors and consultants.
Qualifications
Darren has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws degree.

Darren's previous experience includes roles with law firms in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Life outside of Sparkes
Darren is a football (round ball variety) fan and is passing his love of the "beautiful game" on to his young son and daughter—he hopes he is succeeding. Apart from football, Darren enjoys cycling, playing cricket and golf and spending time with his family.
