Cavelle is part of the Corporate Advisory team and specialises in estate planning, succession law and commercial transactions.
Cavelle acts for corporate and individual clients, and advises on a variety of commercial transactions, including share sale and purchase agreements, business and asset sales and acquisitions, corporate and trust reviews and structuring, and wills and estate planning.
She also advises on some pro bono matters involving charities and benevolent bodies buying and selling aircrafts and other assets and establishing a client referral system with these charities for wills and estate planning.
Cavelle regularly presents at seminars on the fundamentals of estate planning and the risks associated with estate planning and succession law.
Cavelle advises a diverse client base of individuals, corporations and executive directors. She has previously assisted statutory corporations as well as a number of not-for-profit organisations.
Cavelle has Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Legal Education from the University of Newcastle.
Cavelle joined Sparke Helmore in 2011 as a law clerk and has progressed to her current position in the Corporate & Commercial Group.
Cavelle has also volunteered at the University of Newcastle Legal Centre since she was a law student.
Cavelle loves to snow ski—her favourite place to visit is Colorado and Japan. She has recently taken an interest in cooking, so she loves going out to try new restaurants around Newcastle for inspiration.
