Briohny specialises in professional negligence claims and disciplinary proceedings involving health professionals. She has extensive experience running matters in all jurisdictions, including the Health Care Complaints Commission, the Coroner's Court the New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal and state and federal courts of all levels.
Briohny represents local and international professional indemnity insurers and health services providers, including private hospital groups, aged care facilities, medical centres, pathology laboratories and individual health professionals.
Briohny holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne, as well as a Diploma of Financial Services from the International Institute of Technology. Briohny was admitted to practice in 2007 and joined Sparke Helmore in 2015.
