Brendan is an insurance practitioner and litigator, who advises and represents national insurers in workers' compensation matters and clients in compulsory third party claims.
Brendan specialises in fraudulent and catastrophic claims, and has been involved in many of the limited claims within the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) under the Lifetime Care and Support (Catastrophic Injuries) Act 2014.
Brendan works with most of the major workers' compensation insurers in the ACT.
Brendan has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Communications from the University of Canberra.
As the son of a naval officer, Brendan spent most of his time growing up in different places across Australia and briefly abroad. He joined Sparke Helmore from a national mid-tier firm and has been a litigation lawyer for his entire career to date.
Once an avid cricketer, Brendan has now turned his focus to tennis and improving his golf handicap. Indicative of his commitment, he has managed to stick with both pursuits even through Canberra's bitter winter months.
