Belinda has more than 10 years' experience in commercial dispute resolution, including construction disputes. She is quick to identify risks and opportunities and seeks the best outcomes for her clients by considering both legal arguments and commercial realities.
What she does
By providing practical advice and effective advocacy, Belinda guides clients through construction disputes over a wide range of issues, including breaches of contract, defective works, disputed variation, extensions of time and delay costs claims, limitations of liability and indemnities, liquidated damages, negligence and Security of Payment claims.
Who she works with
Belinda works with owners, developers, contractors, state-owned corporations and local councils.
Qualifications
Belinda has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree.
Life before Sparkes
Before joining Sparke Helmore in 2006, Belinda worked for a small construction law firm in Sydney advising on construction disputes.
Life outside of Sparkes
Belinda's favourite thing to do on weekends is to explore nature in local and national parks and to visit museums to learn more about the world. When she is at home, she likes watching old movies and listening to old records.
