Andrew's litigation practice has a particular focus on commercial and construction disputes. He partners with his clients to manage legal risk and deliver practical commercial solutions.
Andrew's construction and commercial litigation practice spans multiple states and jurisdictions. He regularly appears at all levels of New South Wales and Federal courts, as well as mediations and alternative dispute resolutions.
Andrew regularly advises on the interpretation and management of construction and procurement contracts, including defect, warranty and acceptance issues, the recovery of liquidated damages and termination rights.
Andrew works with government agencies, insurers, mining companies, and major building and engineering contractors across a broad range of matters, including complex procurement projects, construction and commercial disputes and other liability matters.
Andrew has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney.
Before joining Sparke Helmore, Andrew worked at a national firm specialising in commercial litigation and defendant insurance litigation. He also worked previously in an internal procurement team at a large government organisation.
Andrew is passionate about health and fitness. He is a competitive Oz-tag and touch football player, and a keen golfer. He loves spending time at the beach and sharing a good meal with friends and family.
